Cooking pancakes with kids

Pancakes recipe

Utensils

  • a knife
  • 2 bowls
  • a whisk
  • a spoon
  • a spatula
  • a ladle
  • a measuring cup
  • a kitchen scale

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 200g plain flour T55
  • 50g icing sugar
  • 1 pack of vanilla sugar
  • A bit of salt
  • Orange Blossom
  • 80g of butter
  • butter for cooking pancakes 

Preparation

  • Cut the butter into pieces and melt it in the microwave. 
  • In the first mixing bowl, mix the dry ingredients with the spoon: salt, icing sugar, vanilla sugar and flour.
  • In the second bowl, mix the liquid ingredients with the whisk: the eggs, the milk, the orange blossom and the melted butter.
  • Gradually pour the liquid ingredients over the dry ingredients. The silicone spatula will help you obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough.
  • If you want to enjoy fluffy pancakes, let the batter rest for an hour at room temperature.
  • Heat the pan over high heat with a knob of butter and pour a ladle of batter, swirling the pan to distribute the batter.
  • Turn the pancake with the spatula as soon as it is golden
